X.P. Callahan
X. P. Callahan studied Romance languages and poetics and has worked as a carnival barker, a nurses’ aide, a price stamper in a warehouse, a secretary, a telephone company employee, a typesetter, a college instructor of French and Spanish, and a freelance book reviewer and book editor as well as Books & Writers columnist for the San Francisco Bay Guardian, a Microsoft employee, an editor at Stanford University Press, and assistant managing editor at the University of Washington Press. She lives in Oakland, California, where she writes and illustrates The Pentagon Pussies, a cartoon published most recently in Old Trout magazine. |
